Escape from lab to Pasar Bella

Updated: Jul 22, 2018

1. Why are there were so many people this time?

Yeshi: Oh we haven't introduced ourselves! We are the Tan-Ong family!

Christine: Our fictional lab family title to make our workplace more welcoming!

2. Whose idea was it to take this photo?

Yeshi: Me! After this one, they started teasing me if I needed to take pictures in every other place as well? lol

3. Why did you guys go to Pasarbella?

Yeshi: As the title states: escape from lab. Kidding haha! We went there to pre-celebrate Christine's Birthday. We had several eating places in our list and picked this one because it's far from the lab.

4. What did you order?

Yeshi: We got various dishes from different stalls, and alcohol - ya, during lunch time. We got quesadillas from the Mexican stall, grilled chicken and pork chop from the BBQ stall, cheese macaroni and Brussels sprouts from the Italian one, and paella from the Spanish store.

Christine: And Yeshi and the others bought me a delicious cheesecake from Kiroi at Alexandra for my birthday!

5. What's your favourite?

Yeshi: The paella! Not sure if it was authentic or not because it's my first time to eat. But it was nice overall.

Christine: The paella as well, that's the only reason I've been eyeing to go to Pasarbella. Wasn't that authentic but it was good.

6. What did you guys do after eating?

Yeshi: We explored the stores and some 'exhibitions' beside the main eating area. The area is a long path, so it took some time to walk. And there are many interesting statues for you to take photos and maybe to buy.

Christine: Yeshi, Mabel and I went to Chinatown after since we didn't want to go home yet.

7. What happened to them?

Yeshi: They're arguing who's Elvis Presley...

8. What's behind you in the tank?

Yeshi: Crab for chilli crab! And there were also lobsters above. There is a dancing crab restaurant in this floor. The crabs are blowing bubbles.

9. How to go there?

Yeshi: There are shuttles buses from several MRT stations to the Grandstand. Click here for the schedule.

Christine: The Pasarbella we went to was the one at the Grandstand in Turf Club. They have another outlet at Suntec City.

10. Where was this photo?

Yeshi: It's at the Sixth Avenue MRT station along the Downtown Line. There are several wall murals inside this station.
